Sequence – Project development (Free of Charge)
- The potential client provides the “basic file” to MG (for details – please see below)
- MG animates these files and provides a few animated options to the potential client
- The client may of course provide MG with a file that has already been animated
Note: In case a client produces an animation proposal, MG will ascertain that the animation proposal provided meets internal
technical requirements
MG may also provide the customer with feedback on the customer’s animation proposal based on MG internal experience, to allow for possible improvents of the animation effect. It is of course up to the client to make final decision on the design.
- The client informs MG of the number of posters to be procured
- MG provides a formal offer that contains prices, delivery times, etc.
- Execution of the order
Information requirement
Transfer of open vector files (ideally Adobe Illustrator or Photo Shop) with the graphical layout to MG. The resolution must be minimum 300dpi, and should not be too much higher due to file size.
Note: To prepare the animations also high resolution .jpg files can be used The files should not be protected! To produce samples of animations and effects with promotion light, MG must be able to use the single parts of the layout separately
Submission of sizes of advertisement (poster, billboard....) for every graphical layout
Will the poster(s) be placed indoor or outdoor
The customer can choose between a matt or glossy surface
Note: From experience, MG would like to inform customers that matt surface finishes have a better effect.
Pricing Parameters
The price of each individual project is based on two dimensions:
- Fixed part: Cost for technical processes such as graphic design work and “tooling”
Note: This part of the price is irrespective of the number of items ordered
- Flexible part: This part of the price usually depends on the quantity of any individual product ordered
The following issues are integrally tied to the price of any Cold-Light animated product:
- Quantity: Number of posters, T-Shirts, etc. ordered
- Size: In connection with posters the price of each individual project depends on the size of the poster
- Area utilized: As a general rule: The more space of a poster is animated the higher the cost
- Complexity: The number of individual animations, colors, etc. are key to the final price. As a general rule: The more complex the project and technical processes to meet the expectations of the customer the higher the price
- Application: Will the poster be used indoor or outdoor. For outdoor use the poster has to be equipped “weather-proof”, ready to withstand rain, snow, hail, etc.; exposure to sunlight (extensive UV-light exposure); endure a temperature range of -20°C to +60°C
- Duration: The product can be manufactured to meet varying time scales of use (Minimum: Three month). A smaller price can be achieved if the customer limits the expected lifetime of the poster
- Surface: The customer can choose between a matt or glossy surface
